Remove metabolic waste, bacteria and toxins from your tongue
Ayurdent Stainless Steel Tongue Cleaner (also referred to as a Tongue Scraper) is a simple and effective tool for daily oral hygiene. Used traditionally in Ayurveda as part of the morning routine, tongue cleaning helps remove the coating that can build up on the tongue overnight.
Regular use leaves you mouth feeling cleaner and fresher, while also supporting a more complete oral care routine alongside brushing and flossing.
Make tongue cleaning part of your morning oral hygiene routine.
Main benefits
- Helps Prevent Bad Breath (Halitosis): Gently sweeps away volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs), food debris, and dead cells from the back of the tongue where toothbrushes often can’t reach effectively.
- Clears Toxin Buildup (Ama): In Ayurveda, the white coating that forms on the tongue overnight is known as Ama (metabolic waste). Scraping prevents these accumulated toxins from being reabsorbed or swallowed.
- Enhances Taste Perception: Removing the film covering your taste buds helps restore sensitivity, allowing you to taste flavours more vividly and promoting mindful eating.
- Supports Oral & Digestive Health: Reduces overall oral bacterial load, which helps lower plaque accumulation on teeth and supports the early stages of digestion that begin in the mouth.
- Gentle and easy to use: The smooth stainless steel edge is designed to glide gently over the tongue without harsh scraping.
- Durable and hygienic: Stainless steel is easy to rinse, clean and dry, making it a long-lasting alternative to plastic tongue cleaners.
